Prime Pilot 600 Portable GPS

It has USB 1.1. Way too slow.

if google does not have it then it cant exist, where the hell did this thing crawl out from???

its a saturday. no wootcast on weekends

Dont buy old technology

I’m so confused… the internet knows everything.

It’s because those software programs run on the existing hardware. If just one person buys it because it plays mp3’s it was worth the inclusion.

Software adds value like it or not.

Here’s the company that makes the SOFTWARE. The hardware probably is from CHina or, worse yet, Radio Shack!!

Could possible be the Altina A600 Portable GPS Navigator. Looks very similar. http://www.gpspeople.ca/A600.htm Don’t know anything about it though.

This looks like an Altina A600.

The finest GPS technoloogy 1974 had to offer!

Just a guess… the $500 ones actually work?, you can up update the maps?, they have user support that you can contact? I don’t know, but, maybe there is a reason that they cost $500 vs $149…? Just a thought or two.

I just want the “Photo Viwer”

That’s for sure it. Why would woot change the name of item? And, how’d you find that?!?!

That actually made me laugh out loud! Thank you!

I wonder how old the maps are on this? If its really new maybe the maps are a year old or less, I hope.

someplace that even the gps satellites can’t find

Questions, I have Questions and Doubts: USB 1.1? Do you need to buy a subscription to something to use this? USB 1.1 (giving it’s age away me thinks). But … if it works, hmmm … my car works and it isn’t USB 1.1. Why do you need USB anyway if it hooks to your car? Arghh

Does this thing have a battery or does it need to be plugged in all the time?

I don’t know either – that’s why I asked…

I believe I would stick with a GPS Unit that is known, like Magellan, Garmin or Tom-Tom. I wouldn’t want something like this that has not been heard of before. Sorry WOOT!
