Does this require assembly? If so, how difficult would that be for a little old lady??

A previous post mentions that assembly is required.

It does require assembly, and for a “little old lady”, I think it would be largely impossible. It’s quite heavy and you’ll definitely want some help from a (probably) younger and more able bodied person.

That said, I bought this from Target for $999 and I’ve been extremely pleased with it. It was also the Treadmill Doctor’s Best Buy under $1300, so this is an exceptional price.

If you’re in the market for a treadmill at or around this price, I don’t think you can do significantly better.

For what it’s worth, I’ve got a very old (about 10 years old) Pro-Form treadmill and even after regular use of around 5 miles a day, 4 days a week, it is still chugging.

$900 may be steep, but if this is anything like my old machine, that works out to only $90 per year.

I posted the consumer reports on this the last time. It’s a good buy.

I actually just ordered this yesterday from walmart. I canceled and bought it here. Talk about great timing.

Just getting from where the delivery person puts it would be…“challenging”…for one person.

is this the 2017 or 2016 model?

What year model and where is it shipped from? I’ve ordered this model before. It was shipped from from Illinois to California. Both times it came as though they had dropped kicked it all the way from Illinois. Returned them both. Big hassle.

How much laundry can it hold?

I bought this from woot! on 1/13 for $949.99. What a bummer!

Searching for it on Amazon lists it as the 2016 model, the one with 62 reviews. Quite a few of the recent reviews are bad. Seems the incline/decline feature gets stuck frequently. I almost bought this, but I don’t want the hassle if I get a lemon. Good luck!

Anyone who doesn’t want the hassle of assembly, get it (or equivalent) from Sears…they still offer assembly and and it’s reasonable. I had one delivered in December, the guys put it together and removed all the packaging - took them less than 30 minutes.

It’ll hold about 12 shirts and/or pants but its greatest asset is that you put a line of beers on the belt and slowly have them delivered to your chair.

My original ProForm was excellent at multi-tasking for that. My new one has me running 5M a day for those beers and has lasted 12 years.

Other than the decline, which mine doesn’t have and the HD TV built in that mine does, These are almost a match. You’ll get many decades out of this. Especially if it’s only used 2x per/yr.

I guess my earlier comment about the runner was considered “indelicate” and got removed.
