Proslat Home

can this be installed on cinderblock garage walls

Greetings from Proslat. I’m here to answer any questions you may have about Proslat.

Yes. You’ll want to use firring strips every 16". If you have questions - feel free to call the office or my cell phone for more info. Our VOIP system has had issues the last couple days so if anyone attempts to call the office, you may immediately get voicemail. I’m available at 614.530.8740.

How much weight can it hold? Ladders? Bikes? What material is Proslat?

This can be installed as two separate 4 x 8 panels on two separate walls, correct?

Yes. Making one big 8 x 8 is for if you have a tall wall and want it to go very close to the floor.

Something else to consider: In my garage, I did something I haven’t heard of anyone doing: I made a “halfy” on one wall (2 x 8) and a “one-and-a-halfy” (2 x 6) on another wall. Great use of space for my situation. To do this, take the side trim from each box and cut them 3/4 of the way up.

I got my proslat from woot about a year ago, and I’m very happy with it. It’s a good price here, especially with the starter widgets, which otherwise are very expensive. You’ll need more. I suggest you soon order some simple (and relatively cheap) 10-packs of simple hooks from Amazon. A pack each of 4, 8, and 12 inch hooks will fill this out pretty nicely without breaking the bank. Then, build your slatwall and see how you end up using it before you order the fancier (and expensive) Proslat hangy thingies.

Sigh Why doesn’t Woot change the Tools & Garden header to just read “Garage Storage Crap & Under Cabinet Lighting”. Save us all the 5 seconds of our lives from clicking on this because it’s always the same.

Hey Woot, how about some decent deals on quality Tools in this section.

Just so I’m not spamming the thread. Proslat is fantastic stuff, have it in my garage so buy this so woot runs out and has to put tools up please.

75 lbs per linear foot per panel (when installed properly - hitting a stud every 16"), so A LOT to answer your question.

Hold ladders, bikes, golf bags, strollers, kayaks, whatever you want to store. Our hooks suggest uses, but our creative customers find ways to use them other than those we have thought of. If you’re in need of suggestions you can always catch me on the phone or via email @ meg@proslat.com

I missed it again! Post some more somewhere please.
