Definitely a medium. My son has a 31 waist and I order him the size M.
Unless you want these riding up your crack, dont get them. Mine just sit in the drawer because they fit terribly

You can find them on Groupon in any size you want for some reason.
For the person that claims they ride up his crack, I don’t know what is wrong with his crack, maybe he needs a bigger size than a SMALL perhaps?
