It’s not super sturdy. I have an ultra HD that I had only had for about an hour. Took some test video and then plugged into the front usb port of my workstation. My 3 year old comes up and uses it as a step to get in my lap… USB thingy is FUBARed, although I did manage to get it all smashed back together. It doesn’t “flip” anymore, but it still works.
…Buy the cord.

Had mine shipped to my work address (so its not sitting outside my house in a box waiting for someone to grab it) and low and behold found out it shipped FEDEX HOME DELIVERY and of course they deliver up until 7pm… our office closes at 5pm. greeeeaaaatt… Thank you woot! Wouldnt be such a big deal if I didnt have plans tonight. (at 7pm)

FedEx Ground doesn’t deliver to PO Boxes.
I got this today and I can’t make it “connect” to the computer.
I can plug it in and it charges. But it didn’t automatically install the Flipshare on my computer. So I went to the website and downloaded Flipshare(or whatever it’s call) and I still can’t connect to it.
What am I doing wrong? Any thoughts?
*EDIT The screen actually says it’s connected, but it doesn’t charge either.

I always put both my physical and PO box, so they can choose. Everything I have ever ordered, and it’s about a dozen things have been shipped by smart post and was delivered by the post office. Even before I had a PO box.
Received it today and was happy…then I quickly realized that It is a 70$ brick.Kind of dissapointed but that’s what I get for buying refurb
What’s wrong with it?
An FYI to anyone who receives one and thinks that the camera may be DOA, plug it into your USB for a while (hours). Mine didn’t respond at all (couldn’t turn on and nothing on the LCD when plugged into my computers USB) until the unit had been plugged in for about 30 minutes. In the meantime I started a chat with the support folks at Flip and learned that if this happens, the battery is so low on charge that the camera is in “trickle” charge mode until there is enough charge in the camera’s battery to properly turn on the camera (either plugged in or not). Once this occurs, the until can be powered on and be charged in normal mode…
That’s what it was! Left it plugged in for about 30 minutes and then it sprang to life

too bad. i got mine. works so far. didn’t record anything but my battery had 1/2 a charge on it. was able to plug it in. was able to set the date and time and language. so far so good. guess i should try recording… but i like it so far!
