Only way is 2 shoot them (i know this will upset some people). Hawks and starlings r smart. I have used the firework champagne items 2 make a bang 2 shush them Way, but they always come bak

My dad used to point out martin houses. One of our neighbors have one. I’ve thought about getting one but I tend to not follow through on things and you really have to with them from what I’ve read.

We hear their chirps, music from march thru july…it is melodic. then they r gone until next spring. I do some confernce calls from my front porch…they all hear our colonies. It is way cool

We have a Martin house. Timing is everything. Keeping the entrances plugged up most of the year, open mid-march in these parts. Sparrows and starlings, both of which are considered American pests, are a PITA to keep out of Martin house. Can be a losing battle but oh-so rewarding when I win!

Yeah, we were shooting at the starlings last nite…pegged 7 of them on monday

Not that I noticed. My grandfather had 2 setup and the martins didn’t care.
They probably looked at the owl and thought why is this idiot out during the day.

Update - got the plastic owls from mothership…will setup this weekend. Babies happening now… cant wait for their 1st flight training sessions. These should happen in next 2 -3 weeks. This is a wonder 2 watch

Update - owls not up yet, still using pellet guns with no luck but does scare them away…these owls from mothership r scary looking…oh but look…also n pic…the 2 rocking chairs and matching side table i bought on Woot! Don’t they look awesome! Snag these when u can!
