Amazon reviews are good, but it should be noted that the device does not support PLEX transcoding. Depending on your setup, and your file formats, this may not be an issue.
The other missing feature is HDMI. No HDMI port means you can’t just plug in your TV - everything has to go over the network. Finally, transfer speeds are designed for media playback. Transferring large files takes time. (Not clear when or why you’d much care, but it was noted by a test site.)
Replaced by a newer model having the missing features; that’s why this one is being discounted out.
Finally, you’re expected to pop in only the approved Western Digital “Red” NAS drives, or Seagate NAS drives. One user reports success with the WD “Blue”.
