So it says “extended shelf life”, does anyone know what the projected shelf life is? The egg products usually have a shortened life vs most of the other options.
I don’t see it stated on their site.
The best generic info I can find is:
Dried whole eggs store for 5 to 10 years when packaged for long-term storage and stored in a cool, dry place. Once opened, dried whole eggs are good to use for at least a year.
One review on the mothership showed a “best by date” that was 5 years after their purchase date. I would have to assume that is UNopened. Once the can is opened, I wouldn’t want to use after more than a year, and only when stored properly in an air-tight container and a cool, dry place. Personally, I would probably use a vacuum sealer to divide the can into something like 4 to 8 servings per vacuum bag for better freshness once the can is opened. And it would be handy for taking on a trip or camping. For prepping, you’d be better off getting the 25-year shelf life option, i.e., the buckets with pouches of the product.
