I reminisce for a spell,or shall I say think back
99 days ago to keep it on track
The “shirt switch” dropped 21st of February.
The diehards cried but the staff gave it nary
A thought, even though there was much consternation
Free blanks sent to provide consolation
The cries died down as the loyal started leaving
New folks came, so there was no need for grieving
over loss of sales since the impact was none
But Feel free to rant in this forum thread, son.
So fast forward some now they changed up the site
a new forum thread, a new pillow to bite
You’re welcome to rant, jump around, pitch a fit
Just understand that it isn’t changing shi…anything
Just like before, things will settle out in time
Change only comes when it hits the bottom line
How did the old layout hit the bottom line?
The new layout was to improve the bottom line.

I may have been, yes.
I also found a dead body by the railroad tracks where Jack Bauer was a mean bully.
Crazy.
I wasn’t around for 1 - but I did see it in the wayback machine… it was the early days - simple - purple. But 2 was awesome! Bright Green and Orange, Not a lot of ads, Woot was starting to get really popular. Three… [shudder] Three was hoooooorrrrriiibbblllleeee It was 3 shades of light diarrhea green - the orange was gone, they messed up the screen size - vast amounts of white space but strangely, more ads - there was a genuine revolt. because - it was revolting. The inner party that had the off switch on their telescreens publicly ignored the cries of pain and horror that echoed in the forums… but privately and quietly, they brought back a little orange, they picked one semi-decent green and toned down the white space and the ads… maybe so amazon would buy them - I dunno. After the counseling and hypno therapy, I’ve thankfully repressed most of 3.0’s damage. But I’m glad it’s gone and I’m glad it’s dead.
