Alright, reptile/amphibian show wasn’t as good as previous ones, but worth the few bucks I paid to get in.
Only one guy with a few dart frogs. Over there on the right:

Lots of leopard geckos like this:

A crested gecko hangin’ out:

LOTS of snakes:

Someone builds and sells vivariums at every show. This one’s not quite my taste, but thought it might raise a few eyebrows here:

Not sure why the eye is popped out. Maybe that’s where the snake is supposed to sleep.
Seems like every year there are more and more snakes and lizards (aka, fewer dart frogs). To each their own, but not really my cup of tea. Keeping a freezer full of mice for feedings also sounds kind of gross.
Stopped at TJ Maxx after the show and snagged some bargain cast iron. I think I’ve mentioned it before, but I LOVE cast iron cooking. Found a lodge camp oven like this one for 5 bucks!

This one’s been dropped from production and it’s kind of a collector’s item. Occasionally show up for $75 of more on eBay.
oh froggy… i love this.
not so much the snakes… uhh… no, no thanks.
never knew this stuff was even happening!! sigh…
did you get anything??
always had newts in my aquariums. wood floating on the top lol

I don’t know if I’d be able to attend to anything long enough for it to live. We had pond fish at the old house. We were down to a few when we moved. I never got (ans still haven’t) the pond that was already here up and running. They stayed in the aquarium until they were all gone.
I haven’t used a camp dutch oven since scouts. $5 is a great deal!
Power went out again in the middle of the night. I think it was about 4. At least long enough to reset the clocks. Good thing I got a battery back-up alarm clock.

monday, time to head to work. hope everyone has a good day.
going to be a long week for me. weather nice today, but cools off to the 40’s by Thurs. I guess this will be the week I turn the heat on.
rain this afternoon, hopefully no high winds like you had, moles. glad your power came back (but what a pita having to reset the damn clocks TWICE!)

Woodstove & humidifier going.

I had a little plastic thing for 2 turtles I had once.
I also bought a tiny chameleon at a County Fair once for $2. The little lizard had a leash & pin, so it held onto your shirt while you walked around the fair. I had to catch flies & little worms for it. It’s days were numbered though…
Also, I had tiny seahorses in a small bowl that didn’t live very long, an ant farm that survived my care for maybe a year and I also sent away for this from a comic book coupon:
I had so many plans to train my Sea Monkeys to do tricks and entertain the entire neighborhood with their antics!
