At least not another Rockford tonight Not that there is anything wrong with being Rockford
I want my… I want my… I want my MP3
Rio Carbon 5GB MP3 Player
Uh oh – iPaid too much for my trendy MP3 player
$124.99 + $5 Shipping and Handling
iPod spelled backwards is Dopi – and that’s what you are if you buy one of those overpriced, overhyped machines instead of this unheralded Rio Carbon player. Its 5GB storage disk holds more than the $199 iPod at a much cheaper price, its battery runs longer, and it’s free of Apple’s charming proprietary file-format shenanigans. Even the Carbon’s slim, tapered, business-card-size design bests its trendy big-bucks rival! This is turning into a rout – we’ll stop before it gets too ugly.
If you’d rather subsidize those awful U2 commercials and those not-particularly-attractive pastel casings, you know where to go. Must be nice to have that kind of money to throw away, Daddy Warbucks. On the other hand, if you prefer more storage space, universally sharable MP3s, and a longer battery charge, here you go. The rest of us will try not to be too snotty when we see you rubes toting your iPods around on the subway, but it won’t be easy.

Not exactly tech, but a darn good deal! Blake & Hollister Polo Shirts $7.99
Looks like a steal compared to an iPod. Of course, I think iPods suck. Or at least they suck for what you get for your money. This device, on the other hand, does not suck in that department.
Oh, and the cheapest 5GB data drive using the same Seagate 5GB mini-drive costs $112 at Best Buy (ST650211U-RK). For only $13 more you get a data drive that also plays tunes.
Where am I?
Not a good price at all for a refurb.

Tempting but can you really use this for the other subscription services?
Nice item, but i think price could be a bit better. It’s still lowest around though! Always heard good things about Rio.

Hey, there is a $20 rebate on non-refurbs :!: :!: :!:
I’m so tired of MP3 players!
Please, Let’s do fewer gigs for less money! Or, BOC.

I’ll stick with my 40 Gig Lyra, which I got 8 months ago for $229…
Woot! Thanks for making things right. Your customer service is tops.
