Reviews over at Costco

Pretty good reviews (4.3 out of 5.0) over at walmart.com

For $40 more tell me why I shouldn’t just buy the NEW model from Amazon?

Agreed! Who knows, a Dexter Morgan copycat could have been the previous owner of one of these refurbs.

I have tried them all. Hoover Bissel. All crap compared to this. It really works well. Best of any home cleaner. It even pulls out the stains from the cat vomit when they throw up. (Side note: don’t get cats. So annoying). I have to say I am a big fan on this machine. Just don’t pre-spray the carpets as some of the sprays cause excess foam. Let the machine do what it does best.

With Woot’s $5 shipping vs. Amazon’s free shipping, it’s actually just $35 more for a brand new vac that’s returnable within 30 days if you are not happy which Woot does not offer.

I got one of these the last time Woot offered them. FANTASTIC. Everyone needs one of these if you have pets. The one I got I paid a bit more for and it didn’t come with any attachments, but it is one fine carpet cleaner to have in your house. I would imagine it’s good if you have kids too, but I’m allergic, so I wouldn’t know anything about that.

I bought one from woot when they offered it without the hand tool for the same price.

After very limited use but out of the 90 day warranty the pump died on it. I called a local repair shop who wanted an absurd amount to fix it, so I found a replacement pump and was able to change it myself - not that difficult a job if you’re a little handy. I could have just been unlucky, but just thought I’d share my experience.

I would buy it from Costco and know you could return it forever.

Mine came to me with the pump flat out not working.

Local repair guy took forever on the repair, trying to deal with rug doctor for getting that all together was a very arduous process.

Eventually they had the repair guy ship it to them, and they fixed it and shipped it back to me.

Yes…it works very well…but it took MONTHS to get a working rug doctor. I’d buy new if the price was within 20% of refurb.

Love mine. Cleans like nothing else and i have used them all almost… Use this with ZEP carpet shampoo and man the carpets will come out clean. And for stains use Folex… Best stuff ever.
