OK, so the Viognier in the summer sipper set is 100% barrel fermented. That’s not quite enough information for me. What kind of barrels? There’s a big difference between new American and old French…
Also, since it is 100% BF, is there any MF? If so, what %?
Last time I was at bevmo I thought they had some of the reata’s on closeout (40 % off) but I remember neither the vintage or exact wines. I know there was a PN.
How does this compare to the 2010 offered back in Dec at 6 for $69.
One description was -
"A seemingly sweet, simple but likeable Chardonnay, this shows the buttered toast and buttered popcorn flavors so popular among consumers, with rich pineapple and mango notes and a nice burst of Carneros acidity. "
Your wife would love this Chardonnay! The 2012 Chardonnay has a smooth mouthfeel with mature acidity and a touch of sweet oak. It has great balance and complexity. It was aged 50% in stainless steel and 50% in oak (25% new and 25% neutral).
