“color and size variations are inherent characteristics of the natural leather and will enhance the individuality of your unique rug.”
That explains the zebra stripes.
The brown and tan are clearly labeled backwards. Just because the manufacturer labeled them incorrectly doesn’t mean that Woot has to continue the mistake.
All the colors are printed on anyway so these are not “natural”.
Now, if you were to bring in some nice Sea Animal skins (salmon, porpoise, narwhal, kraken…), I’d be all over any of that-- my rec-room needs some new accent floor coverings.
Seriously, woot has been selling Land Animal products (leather shoes, beef jerky, etc.) forever. A couple cow-skins shouldn’t be that big a deal.
The main issue with these in the past has been that they fold them to ship them. That creates multiple creases in the leather. Like a shirt you just can’t get the wrinkles out of.
Maybe they have addressed that and are shipped rolled in tubes.
They are pretty nice though and the price is great!
Well Woot will certainly suffer from losing all of the business you’ve given . . . oh, wait, nevermind.
But the community will definitely miss your thoughtful posts . . . oh, make that post.
At least the liberals will love you for standing up for the cows! . . . oh, but they’ve decided cows produce too much methane and contribute to global warming. Strike three.
How is zebra stripes natural cow? Last I checked zebra stripes were on zebras, and a variety of printed patterns on fabric and pleather. Holstein spots were present on cows, milk product packaging, and quite notably Gateway 2000 computer boxes.
