Tempted but has anybody seen one of those HP chromebook deals lately (or in this Woot Off) with the cellular data capability and small monthly data plan? I don’t recall seeing one of those recently and now have a possible interest if those haven’t disappeared completely.

Are they Mac compatible?
(Sorry, couldn’t resist)

Cheaper elsewhere…do your homework.

Amen bc004a…

The prices of used/refurbed Chromebooks have been falling hard lately.
Put up the Acer C720 at a bargain price and you’ll get my attention.

I’m thinking about getting one of these for my 82 year old mom. Currently she has an old desktop. She refuses to pay for higher speed so uses her phone line. Will this work on a phone line?

No modem (for a phoneline/dialup)… In fact Id bet ChromeOS doesn’t even support it.

Additionally, Its a pretty small screen and keyboard for an elderly person… IMHO

Cool, Thanks!

Yeah, all I’ve seen on Woot lately in terms of Chromebooks have been the more recent model, without the data plan.
