Looks like OS updates and support for this model ended July of 2018 so don’t expect safety and security.
What does that look like – does anyone know? Does Google put a warning of any kind in the system area that the Chromebook is no longer updated? Or do you just proceed blissfully ignorant that your machine is open to compromise?
Hmmm. I wonder to what extent old Chromebooks are open to compromise. Since there will be an army of unpatched Chromebooks online in the next few years, I guess that will be a growth area for black hat developers.
