Great reviews at BHPhotoVideo and a few more at Tiger Direct

I had NO idea an android tablet would rival The I-series in price!! (Or is this just their attempt to mitigate their financial patent lawsuit losses???)

I’ve got a similar model. Even with a really good custom power profile, these devices are a bit too heavy with too short of battery life.

A surface pro 128 costs $300 less for a generation newer CPU and much better overall package.

This is a Windows 7 tablet. A similar model (with 3G) was given to developers in late 2012 with Windows 8 preview on it. So yeah, this is some old hardware Samsung is trying to clear out. It does have a nice digitizer though.

So for $899 you get a tablet with an 11.6" 768p screen??? Why for God’s sake? Why?

because it’s running Win7. It’s not a cheap ARM chip, it’s a full-fledged Intel x64 chip.

So, you can run any Windows program ever made on it… which you can’t do on WinRT, iPads or Android tablets.

It has an actual SSD in it – not flash memory… SSDs aren’t cheap, either.

Watch the Video reviews above. especially the first one. It gives a lot of insight on the product.

But, yeah… the price is a little steep. I would like to see this priced at about 600-650 in todays market. But, woot’s prices have shot up dramatically since Amazon took it over.

Sony Tap-11 has better specs. Full-HD and full Windows 8 for $799. Lighter, and cheaper and from performance level it can take anything my desktop can.
Windows 8 tablet experience, at best is iffy, so I’d not bother going after a Windows 7 tablet, even if it were offered at much less. Of course at $899.00, you have better options.
