The headline says SSD, but the detailed description says eMMC (which is an SD card, a much slower storage access technology). Knowing Samsung and looking at the rest of the parts, the eMMC listing is probably wrong.

I’d heard reports of these slates overheating when they were current models. Wonder if the overheat problem has been fixed.

These will also be getting the free Windows 10 upgrade once the new OS is released. Devices running Windows 7 and 8/8.1 get it.

Does this include the keyboard and stylus that originally shipped with it, or just the port replicator mentioned in the product description?

Here is a link to the Mothership Where this sells for $650 and has great reviews but also comes with a keyboard and stylus, I don’t know, is it really worth the extra $300 to be sure the keyboard will be in the box?

It’s definitely an older model but the inclusion of a dock is very positive and Win7 Pro (which most folks prefer to Win8) is good too… I’m tempted.

As the oldest version of the i5 slate, that doesn’t have a connectable keyboard, it’ll be hard to use as a laptop. Would have to put it in the doc or a case and carry separate BT keyboard.
I have the Atom-based version of the newer model w/a convertable-keyboard and I do use it a lot as a laptop. Sometimes a little slow, but it is just the right size to travel easily and has about 6-7 hours of battery life so it just gets through a day.
I was interested b/c this version has a similar 7-8 hour battery life (prob wifi off) and the far more capable i5. But no easy laptop use is a no-go for me. I just cant get info into a program fast enough on a virtual keyboard to get full use in tablet mode.

Why can you purchase a Bluetooth keyboard?

Why would anyone buy this tablet without a keyboard? It’s 11.6"!

I found this on the mothership: http://www.amazon.com/Adesso-Compagno-3S-Bluetooth-WKB-1000SB/dp/B009P7N876

Received the two I ordered. Both are non-functional. Anyone having issues?

One the touchscreen does not work (mouse and keyboard do) and the other cannot activate Windows (getting a 0xC004B100 error). Not sure what kind of company Metro PC is, but I have my doubts about them.
