This so-called “Gaming Monitor” only has a refresh rate of 60Hz, plus it only has HDMI (current) and VGA (legacy) inputs. Gamers prefer a higher refresh rate, and some sort of active sync technology is preferred. Pass.

Although HDMI is a current standard, I won’t get a monitor unless it has a Displayport input. Both HDMI and Displayport are current standards, and, as a bonus, will also carry audio. DVI and VGA are legacy inputs, and have a maximum resolution 1920x1080.

Yeah, there’s nothing special about this that makes it a “gaming” monitor. No adaptive sync, standard refresh rate, and the resolution is even kind of low for the size of the display (considering it offers no other special features. It’s not even IPS, which wouldn’t make it “gaming” but would be a selling point for some people. Maybe the input lag is low? It’s cheap though, so it’s probably worth it as a fairly large, but otherwise basic monitor (for non-gaming use.)

This is the furthest thing from a “gaming” monitor

DVI goes up to at least 3840x2400 (IBM T221) and I’ve used VGA at 2048x1536 @ 80 Hz.

Single-link DVI is limited to the same 1920x1200 as HDMI 1.0, but dual-link goes a lot higher.
