The specs here say “Clear Motion Rate 120Hz,” but every other link I can find to this model says it is a 60Hz model. Anyone know what the deal is with that?
From previous Woot comments people have said “Clear Motion Rate” is just marketing hype.
It’s a marketing blurb. Yes, it has a 60 Hz refresh rate; Samsung just thinks it looks better than that would imply. The official market-droid explanation from the description:
It’s a 60hz tv. All of the big/well known brands pretty much have their own BS term to falsely inflate their supposed refresh rate. Search for the phrase on google. There’s a decent cnet article that explains each brand’s BS.
Thanks everyone.
I pulled the trigger on this for the kitchen! Roku 3 and a chromecast, good to go!
Mine arrived with smashed screen
