Note this is NOT a 4k player according to reviews from Amazon; it is simply capable of upscaling a standard Blu Ray to a 4k signal.

yeah, deceptive title

At LEAST you can order every time i try it has an error saying it rerouted too many times or something dumb bunch of b.s.

Charged me $5 shipping even though I’m a Prime member and the item mentions shipping is free for Prime members!

Did you sign into Woot with your Amazon account?

What’s with the big purple box asking me to accept Woot cookies? Is that something new?

I bought this new for $99 and it’s awesome. Yes, it is for playing standard blu-ray discs, not 4k discs, which works perfectly for me.

It is recent. Like, June-ish.

I suspect it’s a result of the European GDPR. Basically companies operating economically within the EU have to disclose when they collect data, how they collect that data, and what they do with the data collected.

Several US states are passing additional personal data protection laws which mimics some of the rules in the GDPR, so maybe Woot! (and other sites) are just covering themselves for the inevitable.

Or since Woot! is an Amazon subsidiary, and Amazon operates globally, they are enforcing disclosure across all their subsidiary sites.

I bought one of these at Costco not too long ago and returned it the same day. I am a huge supporter of Samsung products, but this one missed the mark.

Blu-Ray discs played fine, but the interaction with the GUI was very sluggish and not very intuitive.

I also had an issue with maintaining connection to my Wi-Fi network.

I’ve had the best luck with Sony players so far.

  1. your completely correct and woot should change the description to: Samsung BD-JM63 3D Blu-ray Player With Wi-Fi and 4K UHD Upscale
Because this WON’T play 4K ULTRA HD
    BLU-RAY DISCS
2)You don’t need your DVD player (or anything else) to upscale to 4K. The 4K TV does it. https://www.cnet.com/news/why-your-4k-tv-is-probably-the-only-upconverter-you-need/

  2. As a 3D standard Blu-ray player, it’s priced pretty well. These come in handy not just for Blu-rays but for many different type video files you can burn onto DVDs or Blu-Rays

I have one of these. I think I paid $50-ish. It works well, but I have to “reboot” (power-cycle) it a bit too much. We never had to reboot technology when I was a kid. But then, toasters and indoor plumbing were considered “technology”.

Will it play music cd

According to the mfg website, CD/CD-r/CD-RW media. Whether that means it plays music is a mystery. I would guess, yes.

Hi
Can it be delivered Before September 3rd to Miami Springs Zip 33166
Also, I tried logging out and logging in couple of times to see change in shipping charges as I have Amazon prime account , but didn’t work

on the sign in page click the grey amazon box on top to sign in. it will open a new window to sign in the close afterwards bringing you back to the woot page. you will not be guaranteed two day prime shipping, but it will be free and you’ll usually get the item within 4-5 days.

This thing worked great until today. I get a green line on the left side of the TV. Doesn’t matter if it’s a blue ray or dvd. The blue ray goes through the loading screen and poof green line. DVD gets through the intro and bam green line. I am stumped? Anybody else experience anything like this?

Yikes, I’m really sorry to hear that! If you haven’t already, please use the Customer Service form and they’ll be happy to help.
