I would just like to state for the record that I have this laptop, and it’s freaking awesome.
The processing performance might fall slightly short of some of its similar-classed contemporary machines, but what you get in return is,
-a gorgeous screen with ridiculous, all-day battery life
-amazing flexibility with the 360 degree hinge and wacom pen,
-excellent integration with Samsung devices, and
-a really stunning package
I generally hate Apple’s “lifestyle” approach to computing and have never owned an iThing, but I now understand how those people could become so smitten with a device because of its feel and form-factor.
This laptop is just gorgeous, and so satisfying to use. It runs the older PC games I like without breaking a sweat. The pen makes working with Illustrator files incredibly easy. It seamlessly casts to my Frame TV and syncs to my Samsung Fold. The screen looks great even in bright sunlight. I only charge the battery to 85%, use it all day at work, and it never drops below 30% before I get home. (And no, the placement of the fingerprint reader doesn’t bother me. )
Its performance benchmarks aren’t going to impress power users and it doesn’t have the absolute brightest screen on the market, but for people who want one machine that excels at many different things and looks great doing it, this is the laptop for you.
