This phone DOES in fact have a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Haha. Nice.

It’s also the last of the Galaxy S line to have user replaceable batteries, which is a major selling point!

Bad battery? Just replace it! No more worrying about your brand new Note 7 exploding while you’re nestled in your bed with your faithful brand new shiny explosive phone juicing up next to you.

I have had the s5 for over a year now. Very happy with it. My wife got an HTC, she is not happy.

But will it make me look as cool as the other people wearing turtlenecks, lounging about Starbucks?

as cool as a fox, and as foxy as an ■■■■■■■

BEWARE!!! Purchased this phone from WOOT earlier this year. It worked fine for a couple of months until T-Mobile disconnected the service for an unpaid balance of the previous owner. Turned out to be a big headache. WOOT did issue a refund, but wasn’t fun.

An unlocked phone?

Yes

How could it happen to an unlocked phone? Did the firmware somehow got back to stock and needed unlocking?

Btw, I checked the specs and it seems like this is the AT&T variant called G900A.

I just bought a note 4 unlocked last week. it got here yesterday and was locked. Woot’s idea of customer service on the phone was to suggest i contact the manufacturer. I am not impressed!

Sorry you had to find out the hard way, but I just wanted to say thanks for saving me that headache.

Since amazon purchased Woot, their customer service has been less than stellar.

1 year later and 16gb is nothing when u need all the apps in the world.

Eh, it’s got expandable storage. Throw a micro sd in there and MOST people should be fine.

With all the bloatware from Samsung and T-Mobile my phone only had about 8 gigs of free space before I started adding apps that I wanted.

Never had a Samsung, so I can’t speak to that. However, this phone is unlocked, so in THEORY, it shouldn’t have any garbage from a carrier.

The “unlocked” here is referring to gsm unlocked… meaning you should be able to pop in ANY sim chip on earth, and as long as the frequency bands match your providers frequency bands you can use the phone without issue.

As far as carrier bloatware, that will exist on any carrier variant of the galaxy s5. The only way to rid yourself of the bloatware and free up additional storage and resources is to unlock bootloader and then flash a custom rom like cyanogenmod (complete process available on their website or youtube).

With that said I currently have the G900A variant which is AT&T branded. However it is gsm unlocked as I use a Tmobile sim. Solid phone, but my only gripe is the AT&T version is bootloader locked. I cannot flash custom roms to the G900A, so I am stuck with a Toyota Yaris in the body of a Ferrari. I am hoping that by purchasing this Tmobile variant which is bootloader unlockable, I can flash the latest stable cyanogenmod build and then put the Ferrari engine back in its rightful body.

This model is the last of the Galaxy S series with a removable battery, if you search on amazon you can find extended batteries that yield 2-3 days of charge with heavy-moderate use. It has an IR emitter that allows you to control TVs, Cable boxes, ACs, Fans (Your phone is literally a Universal Remote).

The wifi radio in this phone is compatible with 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz wireless routers. I can get speeds of 100+ mbs when connected to my router… this loads youtube videos in full 1080 quality with no lag and the phone is more than capable of handling the graphics with ease.
