Review from NotebookCheck

Same price on GroupOn but with free shipping. No pouch.

Pretty good reviews (4.5 out of 5.0) over at bhphotovideo.com

I have the same model with a slightly faster processor and LTE/3G support. End users seem quite enamored with it, critics not so much. http://www.engadget.com/products/samsung/galaxy/tab/3-7-inch/

I find it to be a middling tablet without much power but an appealing price point (now). ASuS’ Memo line offers more bang for your buck, and the Kindle Fires are just out and out better tablets for mom/grandma. That said, if you just want something for light web browsing, e-books, and basic (2-D only) gaming, you could certainly do worse. The build quality is very good, even if the internals are subpar.

Have this, and it’s a very serviceable tablet. Some streaming video services - most notably the WWE Network - simply do not work on the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0. It’s something Samsung says rests with the program provider to be compatible with their 4.1.2 custom overlay. Games like MyVegas are markedly slower on this than on other tabs/pads, and they’ve been talking about updating the OS for several months but nothing yet. Still, the definition is crisp, the screen is beautiful and it’s a real nice tablet at this price point.

I read this and can’t believe it.

WWE network is $10 a month with a 6 month contact; so $60 plus taxes to use on a $110 7" tablet. We have several tablets including the $405 plus tax sold here manufactured by Sony that arrived yesterday not opened yet. We have never paid $10 a month for anything for the phones or tablets, yet. Sure we have Sirius Radio in all vehicles as well as super Techno Packages in our 2013 2014 vehicles and utilize Sirius to the maximum especially when traveling. I have absolutely no interest in paying an additional $10 monthly to watch Wrestling and Matches plus their Pay Per View on a 7" screen. Do you really mean you wanted Wrestling on your 7" tablet and you are worried about it not working it enough to discuss that? Seriously, not being critical but are you joking even mentioning it? This is the best I’ve yet heard.

For those that want a 7" tablet this is a great deal at this cost.

We’re almost done with our Samsung Galaxy 4’s and will be getting the 5’s in 2 weeks, not for $110 for sure. Samsung makes a great phone, I’m sure their tablet for less then what a phone costs is excellent. If in the market for that size tablet it’s a no-brainer.

I just bought this tablet last Woot! off and received it in the mail 2 days ago. Had a chance to play with it a little. For the money it’s a solid tablet. I find it a little sluggish trying to tap things now and then but really it’s not a huge deal to me. I’m going to use this tablet at work for light internet use and occasional movie streaming.

That Groupon is no longer active.

But the point is a good one since they show up there regularly.

Important bonus @ Groupon - it is a Factory Refurb unlike today’s Woot which is a generic-who-knows-who-wiped-it-off-and-put-it-in-a-box-refurb?.. and Groupon has free shipping + free returns.

Or you could wait for Woot to bring up the factory refurbs again like recently.

Is this the groupon deal? Because it appears to still be active:

Groupon Galaxy Tab 3

Still active and here is the link with 7 days 13 hours remaining on the deal. Also I don’t think they charge tax.

This tablets are good for basic web surfing, netflix, youtube and Hulu. They won’t be much good at running anything with muscle, but if you don’t need muscle, it is fine.

The expandable memory is also nice, as it can make for a good MP3 player.

@dliidlii, yep active, weird, when I searched ‘Tab 3’ on Groupon earlier today it came up with an expired Tab 3 7 inch offer.

No brainer to go there for a manufacturer refurb + free shipping + free return.

And try entering ‘GOODS10’’ at checkout for 10% off today only! Couldn’t find the fine print for this code that came via Groupon email.

Did you intentionally pick Memorial Day to sell a product that can’t be shipped to a military address?

Funny.

Of course, with the huge amount of items that they won’t ship to APO/FPO addresses these days that they used to with no problems, the law of averages says they probably just stumbled on it accidentally.

That’s exactly what I did. After tax $106 shipped.
