I received my “refurb” yesterday. Worst packing job of a large TV that I’ve ever seen… even the delivery guy was shaking his head. And of course, the screen is cracked. I sent an email to Customer support, hopefully they respond appropriately. Sure wish Woot had a phone number to call. Fingers crossed this goes well. So much for trying to save a few dollars.
Thanks for the info, I was about to by an 85” but now scared to especially with no customer service #. Best of luck, I hope to see your next comment in whether or not they took care of the problem in a timely manner.
I did receive the refund, but woot customer service takes at least 24 hours to respond to each email exchange. The email trail looked kind of like this: 1. I sent an email requesting an RMA and refund, 2. Woot responded 24 hours later requesting pictures. 3. I responded within minutes with pictures, 4. woot asked if I wanted a refund or an exchange 5. within minutes I stated I wanted an exchange (even though this was stated in my first email. 6. Woot stated they would issue an RMA. In total it took 5 days to get the RMA issued from Woot, and another 3 days for their Shipper to pick up the TV. I did however get the refund, but wasn’t too happy that the delays caused by their 24 hour + turnaround time to respond to emails.
