Amazon Reviews

I upgraded from an S4 to the Note 4 and I’ve been very happy about it. I paid $270 for a factory refurb with no visible damage. If you’re going to put a case on it, it won’t matter anyway.

I love the Spigen Thin Armor for this phone.

Woot must have changed the employee who picks these woots as I haven’t seen a good woot in months!

How scratchy and denty is scratch and dent?

I don’t know if this is “enough” of an upgrade from my Nexus 5 to jump on it, versus wait a few months for the next big wave of phones and pick up a current-er phone when their prices drop again…

This is the last of the good Note series. I had a Note 3 but don’t upgrade every year, was definitely a touch jealous though. Then the Note 5 comes out stripping out a bunch of key hardware features. Supposedly this year’s Note 7 (they’re skipping 6) is along the same lines with key hardware missing. These phablet size phones have no excuse not to include all the hardware options.

Verizon users, this won’t work for you.

Can I install additional memory card to it?

Memory/microSD™ Capacity MicroSD™ (Up to 128GB)

I’m going to pick one up as it looks like the last good option to upgrade from my Note 3. Too many hardware restrictions on the newer Notes for me, very unfortunate and I hope Samsung gets enough backlash to change back in the future.

Last time they had these the phones came from a shady re seller with lots of complaints. I received a phone with a heavily scratched screen and water spots under the glass(woot took it back). It appeared to be a heavily used phone that was tossed in a box with an off brand charger. If its the same company selling I wouldn’t trust it.

What is its Pixels?

Main Display Resolution 2560 x 1440 (Quad HD)

If you don’t care about the stylus I would hold off for a Moto X Pure. They’re already hitting $299 regularly and would be much, much better.

Thanks

BestBuy has the Pure for $239 new right now for the 16Gb version.

Note: Android 4.4 KitKat. This is old! Lollipop was released for carrier versions a year ago, and it seems some carriers are now releasing Marshmallow so you might be able to upgrade…

It should update to 5.1.1 almost immediately over-the-air. This is the T-Mobile variant though… AT&T or other carriers may have to get the rom directly from Samsung. Install KIES on your PC, hook it up and it should take care of it.
