I would consider this an actual deal if at least some of the cams were wireless. That’s a lot of cable to run from one end of the house to another at every point you want to install your cameras.
If you have external power outlets, you can buy a dedicated Windows computer with 4 good quality wireless HD cams w/night vision and wide angle lens for about the same price and do it yourself much easier and without all the holes.
I added an external hard drive to go along with a good wireless router I already had.
There are many companies who offer software to efficiently run the system, including cell phone apps.
