Sandisk Sansa Clip m300 2GB MP3 Player

My e260 arrived yesterday and it is V1. Rockbox loaded just fine on it. There’s also a way to get the higher capacity microSDHC cards to work with it. Don’t remember the specifics though.

Not a bad price, but with no SD slots and it does not Rockbox = do not want

I’ve bought two of these. The price isn’t that great, especially considering it’s a refurb, but it’s still a pretty good player. It’s really lightweight, almost to the point of feeling like a toy, but it’s got pretty decent playback and supports Rhapsody. The faux-scroll wheel is a bit hard to work at times, but it’s pretty good overall as a MP3 player for exercise. I’m not really a fan of armbands, so it’s pretty useful for attaching to clothes without pockets. It also gets even smaller if you want to take off the clip.

$10 more for new at Dell:

Yeah. The nagging doubt is about whether the whole lot was V1.

Anyway, I think I might end up adding my own clip by making a case out of duct tape (lined with paper to avoid stickies) and a bulldog clip. That’s pretty much what I did with my 1st gen .5GB Shuffle.

The built-in clip would be one advantage of the m300.

I have one that I bought from Best Buy on Black Friday (after my Sansa 250 broke from a foot long fall from a chair onto a thin carpet :expressionless: ). Love the little thing, and I can wear it when I workout.

Also, a comment in the Shufle comparison says this is compatible with Zune Marktplace, if there’s anyone who subscribes to that. Yahoo Music is a better price, but if you’ve got a Brown Zune like most wooters seem to have, then this might be useful.

I already have one of these. same thing, but bettah!

can you turn off the back light?

Actually, 1 GB Apple shuffles went down to $50 a couple months ago. Not that its an amazing price for the storage, but if you like using iTunes its a good price drop and allows for the shuffle to be more of an impulse purchase. $49 seems like so much less than $70 when you’re at the store, doesn’t it? They now sell the 2 GB shuffles for $69. Double the price for the same storage, but once again, it IS an iPod. If you’re into that sort of thing. I happen to be, but I just like Apple products for their functionality; I have both a PC and a Mac and each serves a different purpose in my life. Its also larger than the shuffle, which is why I eventually got a shuffle for exercising. I don’t need a screen; I drop 240 songs that I know are good for jogging/walking in it and go. Refurbed apple shuffles are now $39 on Apple’s site; I don’t really know why people would go for the 1st gen shuffles anymore but the clip ones I like. To each their own, I suppose.

What the heck? I got the 4 Gb Sansa media player for $5 from woot… why is this so expensive??? And it’s a refurb…

perhaps even though it’s a refurb, it’s a newer model, therefore higher price point? That’s just my conclusion.

I actually got one of the 2gig Sansa’s in my BOC from April 1st. Nice deal. Other than the neato wooden snake in the box (sarcasm implied), there wasn’t much else to it. Just 6 pairs of earbuds and cheapie webcam.

I really love my Sansa Clip. I wouldn’t buy a refurb at this price though. You can get brand new at Wallyworld for $49.96.

ONe warning though. The shuffle function repeats a lot. Sansa is working on a fix for the issue but they have been saying that for weeks.

That’s the LEGO ■■■■ from the Indiana Jones set, right?

What kind of batteries does this thing take? Do you re-charge it like an e260, or will it cost a fortune in AAA’s??

How about the 2 GB m250 new for $24.95? Yugster has it today.

I’m considering buying one for working out…

For those of you who have the different models (m250, m300), what is the difference besides how it looks? Thoughts, comments?

I’ve now purchased several variations of the Sansa player on woot… every single one of them has died unexpectedly. Stay away from refurb players.

If this had SD expansion i’d be all over it.

I allready have an iPod Touch, but i don’t like taking it to the Gym, so i ususally bring my minidisc player (yeah, thats right, minidisc)

:\

It’s a great player, but i’ll wait for one with either SD expansion, or a totally SD player.

I own it. I just needed an FM radio for working out, it was cheaper than the FM adapter for my iPod (and cheaper than most stand-alone FM radios) and it works great on those merits alone. Headphones are kind of crappy, but that’s easily fixed. I got it for a little cheaper at the time, but this is probably as inexpensive as you’ll find right now for this item.

I have been wanting one of these. I hope it holds up to my expectations. Refurb makes me a lil nervous.
Now I just have to wait the 3 weeks for it to arrive.

I bought a respiffed Sansa e250 (2Gb) a while back from woot and have been pleased, so the respiffing doesn’t scare me.

Though I like the fact that the e250 has the ability to play video – and I thought I’d be watching little movies on it all the time – it’s turned out that I never actually do watch video with it. So the lack of video on the Clip is OK with me.

What intrigues me about the Clip is the one feature the e250 lacks: support for Audible. Bet I could fit at least seven or eight books on 2Gb. And having that in a smaller, lighter, clip-able package doesn’t hurt either. Looking forward to “reading” while exercising. I’m in for one!
