Discussion from a previous offer

This is my bedroom TV. I bought it from a previous WOOT. I cannot say anything bad about it. It is a fairly basic TV, i.e. it has no internet apps, or other bells and whistles. However, if you are looking for a 1080p TV that delivers a beautiful picture once you calibrate it, this is a good choice. However, I do not consider the need for calibration a flaw, since I think every TV needs calibration out of the box…It is a fine TV that works great. It is a great value for $200…

We purchased this tv from a previous Woot as well - this is definitely a deal you can’t beat given the dimensions and price; however, our tv’s sound was off when it came and we had to invest in a $100 sound bar to fix it. Buyer beware, you definitely get what you pay for.

Purchased from an earlier Woot. This is a good product except the cables stick out from the side; a real negative in the design. So think through the aesthetics before purchase. I think the price is too high considering other deals for new 39" TVs that are not much more with a full warrantee, e.g., CostCo or Amazon, etc. It is a gamble too; if it is defective, I think you are stuck with the return shipping cost–not worth it!

Unless, of course, you plan to wall-mount it…

Sorry but I’m not seeing how wall mounting would make a difference in where the cable attaches. You could get a 45 deg. angled adapter but beware that some adapters and/or connectors may lose some amount of signal.

Just got mine last week and have nothing bad to say so far. Great dark blacks and whites stand out too. Way it came out of the box will be fine for most people but I used a Disney BluRay disc that has a TV setup program on it to fine tune. Ask me again in 6 months if I am still happy.

Buy a 90 dgree HDMI adapter like this one. http://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-Right-Angle-Adapter-Female/dp/B001VL572I/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1410455629&sr=8-5&keywords=90+degree+HDMI+adapter
