Schwinn 131 Upright Exercise Bike

product page with everything you need.

When it says “Wear Items” in the warranty, what does that mean?

$449 on Amazon. Reviewshere

Is also handy to hang clothes on, when you stop using it after 2 weeks

Probably things like the belt if it has one.

Edit: from Schwinn’s website: Wear Items, (Items that wear over time with normal use and/or exposure)
Nautilus shall cover the cost for repair of wear-related items, as defined in the
Nautilus Warranty Policy for the specified period based on brand and model
number from entitlement start date.

warranty info

This IS a discontinued model, so keep that in mind if there’s a future need for parts.

Unfortunately, I bought one of these a while ago and it immediately became “discontinued” (because I discontined using it.

Woot had Schwinn bikes couple of months ago (model 101 and 126) for $199…

http://www.woot.com/Forums/ViewPost.aspx?PostID=3304238

The one for sale is now 131 and is being sold for $50 more. Does anyone know what the differences are between 131 and 101/126?

Any taller folks have experience with this?

The amazon reviews don’t seem promising for someone 6’4"…

Have you tried checking Schwinn’s site? The 131 looks to be the deluxe model. better seat, more programs, travel wheels et cetera.

On the heels of the recently introduced kids.woot, I wonder if this offering is a harbinger of fitness.woot or sports.woot or health.woot or something of that nature.

I think it could be a big hit.

It means items that would wear out due to normal use. I.E, Belts, chains, etc. Kind of like an automobile warranty, where the warranty doesnt cover oil changes, tires, light bulbs, etc. “AKA General Mantainance Items”

Fortunately, parts from schwinn, are usually readily available. especially on their bikes

Gee, what to say about this:

  1. This would have sold out in one hour if it was listed around New Years, with all the resolutioners.

  2. I ride a real bike, so I don’t need this.

  3. If you really want one of these, wait until June of each year. Here in San Francisco you can find them on street corners or at the thrift store, in almost new condition, having been used maybe twice.

  4. Don’t buy this. I guarantee that in two days you won’t even remember this was on sale.

  5. This is one of those “sounds good for about ten minutes items.” When you move on to other things, like eating a triple scoop sundae while sitting on the couch, this thing will forgotten.

  6. Schwinn? I did not even know they were still in business. Wow, that’s news.

Ring Ring.

Hello

great idea sir exercise.woot or sports.woot

or crap.woot.! Featuring literally the most useless crap that only woot could convince us to buy!

This one has a fan…big whoop. I got the 126 last time and love it…and no, I don’t use it as a clothes hanger! I did, however, put a vornado stand fan directly in front of it! The bike runs smooth and quiet and I love the program option. It wasn’t hard to put together either and I’m an over 50 female!

I’ve been wanting a decent (read not walmart) excercise bike for some time now. This looks to fit my quality standards at the pricepoint I had in mind.

I’m in for one.

I love all the pasty white Wooters putting up negative posts about exercise bikes! I had a ProForm bike that I rode several times a week for the past 4-5 years. The pully system just broke, and it would cost almost as much for replacement parts as it would to buy this. So, yeah, I’m in for one.
