+1 to Sennheiser. I can’t speak to this specific model, but I’ve had nothing but good experiences with their other products.

If you’re looking for something a little bit more top-end, Slickdeals has shown some great Adorama deals on both HD-600’s and HD-650’s recently. I think I’ve seen some good HD-598 deals, too.

Not going to lie Woot, if you put up a comparable deal on these, I’d be sold in a heartbeat. I’m waiting for them to hit that low point.

BEST sounding headphones in the under $100 price range and the price here make it a steal !!! I an a record producer and own a studio so I know alot about sound and these are sweet !!!

I have these and they’re my fav for listening to pretty much everything.

My only warning is that the cable has a large plug on the end for a more high end use or connecting to a sound board. There’s a small adaptor for connecting to a pc phone or MP3 player. Once the adaptor is connected, it makes the end piece quite long and awkward. You could use a cable from a different set of cans if it really bothers you. On the plus side, the cable on these cans is really thick and high quality!! Trust me cable quality does matter!!!

As for sound, these are sick!! If you have ever heard Martin Logan electrostatic speakers, they’re something like that. extremely wide open soundstage, great for classical, and jazz music and adds an extra dynamic range to movies. These really are natural sounding too. Really smooth.

These sound amazing for 80, 70 or 60 dollars, so don’t trip over that little price difference.

Just ordered a pair. I’ve been looking to upgrade from my hd439’s and couldn’t resist these at this price.

My 15 yr old son knows everything and He says they are “Pretty Good” which is Teen speak for Amazing!

Does anyone have any experience wearing these with glasses?

I’m trying to find a comfortable pair of headphones that don’t leave me feeling like I’ll be left with a permanent indention of my frames on my skull f I decide to wear these for an hour or two.

I’ve worn different headphones (HD555 and HD598) with the exact same chassis and earpads for years now with glasses, and they are quite comfortable. I can wear them for hours without issue.

Just ordered a pair! I use Audio Technicas ATH-M50’s & can’t wait to compare.
Mostly use headphones to jam with my Guitarport and CD’s.

I have a pair of HD 598’s (next model up) that I use often at work (radio production). They’re super comfortable and I can wear them all day. They offer a pretty decent bass separation but there is quite a bit of bleed to and from the outside world. These are for sure not iso headphones.

Great price for this model. If you care about how music is supposed to sound in real life, get a pair.

If woot ever offers and higher models, I am in for at least 2.

I have to say that I am disappointed with these headphones. The comfort is good but if you don’t want the person sitting next to you listening to what you are listening to don’t buy these. There is a lot of sound that bleeds through to the outside, even when the volume isn’t very high.
