If someone could explain how the strap should be threaded through the metal that would be excellent.
There are photos but they don’t show what is on top

I bought one of these last fall and was not happy with it. The black webbing is too thin and slick for the metal buckle to get a crip, so when you get in the hammock it just slowly slips down. I had to modify the buckles by grinding away some metal and I’m still not confident it would hold me.

I agree.
The straps are too slick and not what is on the Serac website.
It seems like a quality product except for the lack of instructions and slippery straps.
