While I normally wouldn’t defend Woot! as sometimes their deals are crappier than their Amazon counterpart, in this instance they are not. Those stamp sheets, a set of 2, are around 12-14$ depending on the size of the stamp sheet. That alone makes up for the additional cost and getting the additional ink (this brand is typically more expensive) is around 4$ a bottle so that’s an additional 12$. Do the research before bashing! A cheaper alternative if you are just wanting to try it out without committing the $$$ on this model would be that amazon version, but even then I would rather have the extra sheets and ink initially so I can toy around with it to get an idea if I’d like to purchase more of this brands materials.

Does this work on MacOSX or just Windows?

Looking at their Software Update page, I see links for both Mac & Windows versions of Mint Studio.

Pulling the trigger on behalf of my mother, who lost some treasured, discontinued rubber stamps in our devastating flood last summer and was complaining just the other day how expensive custom stamps have gotten.

This looks very cool and very cheap, and if she makes three stamps I think we come out ahead of custom replacements. I’m glad I waited for the bundle. One the reasons I didn’t order the last time woot had the Mint was because the ink seemed pricey if you wanted other colors.

Just an FYI, the reason this thing has gotten so cheap everywhere is because Silhouette America is discontinuing the product. Hopefully, you’ll still be able to find consumables for a while (though most feel they’re a bit expensive).
