These are really great tuners…

Intended strictly for cable, not antenna (although silicondust does sell antenna based models) and not satellite.

Setup can be challenging not because of the device itself but your cable provider. I have Brighthouse and utilized dslreports.com brighthouse forum (Bhntech - Gary) and he rocks in getting setups completed with BHN.

Once your setup (I use windows media center) its very stable.

This device requires cablecard, it costs about $3 @ month which with my htpc media center saves me about $20 @ month as I dont require Cable company DVR

Also have Amazon Fire TV sticks at other tvs in the house running kodi (xbmc) and i can watch all my cable channels as they can see this tuner

If you have cable and have media center pc this is way to go!
