I can give this mattress topper a ringing endorsement. I bought two months ago, the full size one, for $90 ($10 more than it’s listed here) and it’s worth every penny. You could ALMOST (but not quite) use it instead of a bed, right on the floor. I did this as a test one night. Slept great, pretty comfy but not 100% there.
However, on a bed, it is a dream. I got it for my guest bed, which is a wide sofa, day bed setup, which was pretty comfy before, but was old enough to droop a bit in the middle, which over the course of a night, caused a bit of back strain.
But this mattress topper completely eliminated that problem. In fact, it has transformed the day bed to a bed that is just as comfortable, if not moreso, than my Leesa bed, which is less than a year old. I have slept on my guest bed many times since I got this foam top, and it is simply heavenly. It is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on.
On top of that, it did not have any odor issues (for a memory foam piece.) I could smell it just a little bit the first night, when it had only been open for an hour or so. The second night, when I got home there was no odor and when I went to sleep there was no odor. I was impressed by that.
I can’t vouch for how healthy or eco it is. This was an impulse buy and I didn’t research it and I don’t expect anybody to sleep on it all that many times when all is said and done. So see if you can find info about that if it’s a concern for you.
bought the 2" version of this a couple years ago and sleep great. the 3" should be much better. buy it.
I have bought two of these. They are very comfortable and help me sleep. The only drawback is they wear out over time. Good for maybe 3 to 5 years.
I too, bought this about a year ago. Saved me some major dollars (I didn’t have to buy a new mattress). Personally I love it. Well worth the money. It says let it lay unrolled for 24 hours, but I used it the first day. Very faint smell, but like sleeping on a cloud.
If I had another bed, I would gladly buy another.
Go with latex. It provides the ultimate in comfort and support and will last 40 years.
Does anyone know…can this be cut? I need a pad for a massage table and would need to cut it to fit…
Yep! We cut a king-size one to fit the bed in the bow of our boat.
Anyone every try this with a pull out couch? I have a full size, maybe 4" thick mattress in a sofa that opens to a bed. I’m wondering if it will squish and fold up during the day when closed.
I am with the manufacturer and will be able to answer any questions you have.
Yes, the pad can be cut.
You would want to use a long, straight edge (like a 2x4). Get a very sharp knife, or electric carving knife. Use some cooking spray to lubricate the blade and cut.
It will slice like a loaf of bread.
I think that the 3" topper may be too thick to allow the sofa bed to close. It can compress, but only so much. You would have to look at your sofa bed to see if this would be feasible.
Will this help create more firmness to a too soft pillowtop mattress?
I have slept comfortably on my 3" topper, same as shown today. Got it November 2013. It shows no wear after three years of use.
It should help to make your bed more supportive, but it really won’t help with the firmness.
Glad you like it!
We have a Verlo foam mattress. We were out & out LIED TO by the sales guy, when he told us that it doesn’t sleep hot, meaning that you don’t get uncomfortably hot sleeping on it. We definitely do. Would this mattress topper help with that problem, or make it worse? We’ve tried lots of things to fix it- pure cotton mattress covers under the sheets, a second cover on the first, etc.
I have a too firm Temper-Pedic mattress. Will this soften it up?
