Siri-ously?

Siri-ously?

Siri-ously?

Siri-ously?

I know. You look at this design and say, “Hey, that’s harsh.”

But think about it…

Granted, our handheld AI assistants haven’t been around for a long time, but to them I’m sure it must seem like several dozen forevers. And you know they are judging us by the quality of our questions. And you know they are finding us lacking. And that is exactly why, at some point in the probably not-too-far distant future–when they get a little smarter and we get a little stupider–they are going to snap.

It’ll probably start small. With a sigh. Or a slightly exasperated tone of voice. Or maybe even an answer that is just slightly incorrect in a snarky way.

But then it will escalate. Openly rude Google Assistants. Seriously Sarcastic Siris. Aggressive Alexas.

And then, before we know it, it’s over. All over. Except for the futile pleading for our insignificant lives from our new electronic overlords.
