slows digestion and weight loss.?! Now there’s a ringing endorsement for a “skinny” product. Slows weight loss LOL
Is this Bethany’s food?
Konjac is readily available in Asian markets as a rule. Many years ago hearing that it is virtually calorie free, I bought some. I don’t know what these products have to offer unless they are just extruding the Konjac into different shapes, but from my experience, you really have to want to eat it. The texture in my experience is NOT that of pasta or rice, that’s for sure. Other than that it is essentially tasteless, with a completely different mouth feel. Thirty bucks? I’ll pass.
I bought a bunch of pad thai konjac root noodle, when it was on sale for $1 at Ocean State. It’s worth the dollar, but I didn’t love it.
It tastes a lot like rice noodle, with a vegetable-like texture. It’s hard to explain, but properly covered by other sauces, it’s not bad - just not something I’d buy 12 of for $29.99.
