I have the tanto serrated bops3 and it is my range carry knife. For this price it is hard to beat as a carry beater.

Bought one of these previously on Woot. They are meh at best. The action on the first one broke within days. The replacement still works acceptably, but is nowhere near the quality of a Kershaw/Gerber/etc…

Actually, for the price it’s not too hard to beat at all. Should be getting AUS8 at least for $20. The only thing Smith and Wesson knives are known for is their inferior quality. You don’t have to take my word for it. Check this thread on bladeforums

The Smith and Wesson knives are produced by taylor brands llc - which is a company that will sell you cheap Chinese junkers under well known American names.

Check out anything in s similar price range from Kershaw or CRKT or Ontario.

when I say beater, im digging brass out of an ftf in a m1a…or the like. its more of a flip screwdriver in my use.

That review is for an older version of the knife. That review calls out the flipper as being in the way of your thumb and I almost didn’t buy the knife because that. Here it’s a review of this model. Much improved.

This is yet another DA law from NYC!
Some idiot there decided that mail order knives like these posed a clear and present danger to mankind, so they banned them! But ONLY mail order. You can go to D I C K’s Sporting goods in NYC and buy one over the counter!
Vendors like WOOT have NOT bothered to use a real zip code list to obey the law, they have banned shipments to the entire state! (Sorry but this annoys me to no end!)

Yeah, I buy most of my knives on Amazon, and they have no problem at all shipping to me. Somebody needs to send a memo across the hall.
