Yes it usually involves a rebate or something at that time but most stores like Staples, Office-Max and Best-Buy do electronic rebates with nothing to send in now.
Hi! I believe it’s from 2008. This is the older one. There are newer versions you can buy elsewhere.

They are currently on version 3. This is the version before that so version 2.

Why yes they are, as a former staples employee I’ve always wondered where all that software goes. Unlike the Antivirus given out around that time, all these were shipped back to warehouse instead of being destroyed in-store
