For the non-Jewish folks out there (like myself), gelt is Yiddish for money.

happy chanukah

“IsRoyali Blue”? oy vey.

Aside from being a “Jewish” joke, I don’t really get this shirt.

It’s all about the menorahs, baby.

What does this mean?

This made my Jewish heart smile

Do we really need the Smart Post “If you need this by Christmas…” note on this one?

Oy vey…

No text.

No Christmas references.

Given it won’t be here in time for Hanukkah…

la chaim and mazel tov to such a wonderful shirt!

Now that is one golden pun. I’m not sure if it’s dark humor or simply milk-ing a great holiday, but either way it’s pretty sweet.

“If need this by end of Hanukkah.”

איזה קללה.

what a curse, woot. If you make me buy this, I might have to scream at the influx of shirts in the mail.

Oy vei. Shouldn’t the shirt be more gold than silver? That would seem to make a bit better sense. But maybe that’s just me.

I would like to note, I do feel sorry for the faceless individuals that created this shirt. Shame on you, Woot, for making them wear bags on their heads!!

It’s like saying “Solid Gold”. Gelt would be money, such as those gold chocolate coins they sell at Hanukkah time. So this is saying “I’m solid gold! but gelt! which means I’m jewish and like cheezy catchphrases!”

I mean, I guess it’s better than I Can Haz Dreidel, but especially being printed in metallics, there’s plenty to kvetch about here.
