Don’t bother with these. I bought from Woot years ago and one didn’t work out of the 12 and none of them made it past 9 months. Just cheap junk.

I bought 2 packs of these a couple of years ago. They all still work. I’ve replaced batteries on all but 2. They’re very prone to rusting inside, i have wrapped the contacts in aluminum foil on a few, that’s worked amazingly well. They’re very cheap. If you drop them the contacts will go out of alignment and you’ll have to play with them to make them work. If you kick them they’ll break. My broken ones are in spots that don’t get rain. Like much cheap but simple junk they’re very fixable. If you screw them down you’ll have to unscrew them to take them apart and re-align or change batteries. If they’re not perfect they’ll blink. But they keep working. Debating getting more.
I have purchased these in the past. They work fine for 6 to 9 months. Then they fail. They cost less than $1.50 each. Recommended! For the price they are a good deal.
Did you try replacing the batteries?
IP44 is laughable.
