Although I just ordered one I really would have liked to see how the frame looks without the mattress. It’s important to see how the mattress support is put together. Is there multiple wooden slats providing support for the mattress or just the standard 3?
This ad is missing the most important picture, the actual support structure.
The type of mattress support is vital to know for me. It sounds like this bed frame is the old fashion type (standard 3) because it says it requires a foundation. So there is no platform or slats so it cannot support a bed-in-a-box (foam mattress), or a latex mattress, or a air mattress, or a memory foam mattress, all it will take is the old school spring mattress on top of the foundation. Unless you want to put the newer style mattress on a foundation? But that is not common.
If that’s the case I’ll just have to get some extra wooden slats. But according to the picture the mattress is quite low like there’s no need for a box spring.
