I received one of these as a gift. I don’t understand the appeal - I honestly believe it’s worth maybe 10-15 minutes of entertainment, tops. Now it just sits as a decoration. Personally wouldn’t recommend spending more than $15 for one.
Yeah, a co-worker of mine got one for a gift right after the movie came out - I believe it cost his wife $300 or close to it. He played with it for a couple of hours and since then it has been a deskoration. Passing.
From the previous posts it sounds like the adults got tired of this robot quickly but my young kids just got it this past weekend and have spent hours playing with it. They also had renewed interest in it when showing friends how it works. I highly recommend getting the Force Band as it has great sound effects and moving your arms “like a jedi” seems more fun than using an app on your phone to make it move.
The packaging made it seem larger than it really is, it’s quite small.
I bought this, because this old man love’s Star Wars, from the first movie they made, took my very young kids to see it,and loved Star Wars ever since.I have a large BB8 that rolls around by inself, drives my two Dobermans crazy LOL.This one should be more inpressive, and really get my dogs going.I have most of the 31 & 20 inch figures from most of the movies, and just got the 31 inch Kylo Ren.I am a 72 year old KID!!!
If you are a Star Wars enthusiast, this is a great gift. I got one and purchased the force band add-on. It makes the BB8 way more fun, you control BB8 using The Force and it’s great to terrorize my cat.
It also has a feature that it interacts while you’re watching Star Wars The Force Awakens and now Star Wars Rogue One.
