The measurements in the Specs table seem crazy. The Small has a 46" chest and 35.5" sleeves.
I thought the same thing. In what context is a 46" chest small? Unless these are in a weird European measurement. Or marketed to a select group of adult film actresses, maybe?
agree, was going to order one but wont take the chance with the funky measurements
These are lay flat measurements for the jackets, they are not any different than other jackets you might have at home. If you lay the jacket flat and measure the chest across and the same on the opposite side , you I’ll get a similar measurement to this chart with respect to the size. If somebody has a 38” inch chest and normally wears a size small then the extra 8 inches is to account for the layers of extra clothes that will be worn under the jacket and is also to account for a little bit of room so that the jacket fits comfortably and not too tight . Imagine buying a jacket that has the same chest size as you do, it will fit super tight like a glove and you wouldn’t be able to fit anything under it and it would be extremely uncomfortable because they would be super tight.
These jackets don’t fit any different than your standard bomber jacket.
With regard to the sleeves, the sleeve length when worn is not any different than your standard sleeve lengths on these types of jackets , again the sleeve length you might be used to are the sleeve lengths you see on a button down shirt, when you are working with a jacket the sleeve length are a bit different because nobody wants a jacket that has a perfect sleeve length like a button down shirt, it would end up being too short when wearing things under it , it needs to have a little extra fabric to account for things worn underneath and don’t forget there is a ribbed elasticized sleeve cuff so don’t think the sleeves will be hanging off your hands, I assure you these sleeves are not any longer than your normal jacket. In addition the way sleeves are traditionally measured are laid flat from the the center of the top part of the back collar all the way down to the end of the sleeve cuffs.
I also believe that woot has changed its return policy, and if for whatever reason you don’t want the item you can return it.
These would be the measurements based on a customers measurements , for a standard bomber jacket fit, not too tight and not too loose, if you obviously like a loose fit I recommend buying one size up.
Small- 36-38” customer chest size
Medium- 40-42” customer chest size
Large- 44-45” customer chest size
X-Large- 46-48” customer chest size
XXL-49-51” customer chest size
Found it on Groupon for $10 more , ratings shows 4.5 out of 5 stars, I’ll definitely take a chance.
Anybody know whether they’re warm and wind-proof enough for cool-weather motorcycle usage?
Yes they are warm, they have a filler - they are considered a heavyweight flight bomber jacket as opposed to those lighter ones out there with no filler.
Quite a difference in price from the similar but non-filled Harley jacket I bought for $175!
I like the quality of the jacket and think the sizes run true but beware, the Navy color is nothing like the one pictured. The one I received in Navy is so dark it almost looks identical to the Black one I also ordered. If I had known this I would have just got the black one.
