This human hack was debunked 5 years ago…if you want more fat in your diet, just go whole cream instead of 1/2 and 1/2. It taste a lot better.

Kinda random but I just did an experiment on myself, one of the phases was consuming really a lot of MCTs for an entire week. Don’t do it. Upper tolerable limit is ~45ml a day and I was rocking around 190ml. It was really bad. Fortunately, I had recently installed a bidet!
Not sure what “hack” Buster had in mind, but MCT oil is a part of a ketogenic diet. You can enter ketosis as a result of a low or zero carb/sugar diet. Your body stops using glycogen(carbs) as its energy source and switches to the (ketones)fat in your body. MCT or Medium Chain Triglycerides are a healthy fat and are easier to metabolize and can help you enter or maintain Ketosis. This state can take some time to enter for some people, and you can easily fall out of it. Again, depending on your make up. But if you are actually in ketosis, you are burning the fats and not the sugars in your body and you don’t get the usual spikes and crashes, and you have a steady energy level throughout the day.
Trust me, there is a lot to unpack with this subject, but suffice it to say that the food pyramid as we know it is completely ass-backward. And everything we have been told about fats and cholesterol is wrong. Bread and grains should be the smallest part of your diet, if at all. Carbs and sugar are the worst things in the world for you. If you are interested you can read the article in the NY Times about the Sugar industry bribing scientists to testify that fat and cholesterol were the problem and not them, all the way back in the 50’s. Cholesterol is required to live, its part of maintaining the cells in your body and is produced by your liver. Unless you are specifically genetically predisposed to high cholesterol, you should eat predominately meats, (healthy)fats and eggs. You can even check Weight Watchers if you like. They just changed eggs to a zero point food last year. You can eat as many as you like.
Suffice it to say, pretty much everything we know about food is wrong. So if that makes this a “hack” then so be it. But please read up on all of this. It could change your life. Not to be hyperbolic, but it is literally a matter of life and death. And this is not an endorsement of this particular product. I know nothing about this company. But MCT as a whole and the diet that accompanies it are worth investigating.
This - I’d also like to add, even if you aren’t following a keto diet but use coconut oil as a healthy fat for drinks and such you may prefer this. The solidification point is MUCH lower than coconut oil (75ish degrees), so its easier to add into smoothies and such.

Lol. They say start with a tablespoon or more reasonably a teaspoon and learn you limit. I’ve heard horror stories much like this. Glad you had the bidet. lol
I do Intermittent Fasting and low carb diet when I eat. I was hoping to hear what the hack he had in mind was. I agree with what you wrote, good information there. I’m debating between this or Bulletproof brain octane or xct. From the reading I did I think I may go with the 32oz xct (only C8&C10) from the mothership. Feel like maybe it would be better than this with the C12, though just getting into MCT oil I’d wouldn’t know a difference.
