Spring is Almost Here

next stop for the waviators is sellout.woot. hopefully.

Anyone have these board shorts? I’m due for a couple pairs and was wondering about the fit? are they true to size? and are they tight in the legs?

I’ve been wearing oakleys but they’re expensive and I’m thinkin of trying these out.

I ordered the waviators (in a fit of madness) and rather regret the purchase. They seem like dollar store items. Could be I just don’t appreciate them.

By contrast, I really like the Barracuda Hydrobat Racing Goggles that I picked up, I think a few Woot-offs ago. Like 'em so much that I ordered three more (I’d been hoping they’d show up as a WootPlus item). My experience is that all googles eventually have to be replaced (all that chlorine the goggles keep out of your eyes has its effect on the goggles themselves), but I found these more comfortable than your average goggle. And the price is nice.

They feel cheap and the lenses could be darker, but if they float when I go swimming/capsize this summer, they’ll have paid for themselves.

The Waviators are the cheapest pair of shades I’ve ever seen. I figured that for something that costs $12.00 (with a regular price of $30.00!) that they’d be something a little more that dollar store junk. Not so…they aren’t even as good as dollar store junk. They remind me of the cheapo shades that little kids wear…but not quite the quality. I got burned on this one. I hope they all sink.

These are ok quality–for the price they are great–I say go for them!
They make some lifeguard gear I wear from time to time. AND THEY SPONSER THE US SWIM TEAM?! I’m getting one or four of these.

I want to say they are “true to size.”
Mine aren’t tight in my leg…they just sit well but I do squats and lunges every day…

BOOM!
sizing chart

protip—it doesn’t say anything about the leg opening.

Stupid question here - are these ‘board shorts’ swim trunks? They don’t say anything about that interior panty that’s usually inside men’s swim trunks.

I think all the men just groaned at the reference to panty for their swim trunks.

These do not have a basket liner (the correct terminology that I just learned).

Swim trunks have them.

True board shorts do not.

And this has been today’s “Now You Know” moment.

That’s really funny you have this video. I was there for that.
