If this is the same jacket as they were selling a couple weeks ago then yes I can confirm there are snaps in addition to the zipper.

This jacket DOES NOT HAVE POCKETS FOR YOUR HANDS!!! Only patch pockets.

Is this parka waterproof?

Yes, per the vendor it is waterproof.

On the front, is the zipper bi-directional (allowing you to zip up from bottom while sitting )?

The Spyder Men’s Parkas front zipper is not bi-directional. Only zips from bottom to top.
