Can these headphones just work as regular headphones or are they only compatible with a certain game system?

I wanted to get one of these for my PS5 simply to keep from annoying my wife while I play. The best info I could find online about cord length is that it’s 4’, with a 5’ extension that only works for PC’s, evidently.
Too bad. Four feet isn’t nearly long enough.
From my understanding, this has a 3.5mm jack to plug in. I don’t own a PS5 but I know on my PS4 controller you could plug a headset in and it would relay all sound to the headset.
