I feel the other way about the “I take things” line. Without it, it would just be a generic parody with a single word swap. By itself, it would have no context. Is the shirt itself outta context? The wearer? The reader? Anything in general?

Including the whole phrase, to me, makes the shirt hilarious.

Agreed. Take out “I take thing” and just leave it with stright out of context.
