Cheers everybody,
I hope you all enjoy the Trio. It was a real fun wine to make because the craft of blending the three varietals was pure art.

There is plenty of tannin in the wine that will help with aging. Yes, lower pH wines age longer but this wine is well made and will certainly evolve positively in the bottle.

We try to give the Wooters great deals on these promotions. Rest assure you wont find better prices.

The wine was a little tight at first release but after a little time in bottle its now ready. In our tasting room the wine is selling well but in general the public does not know Rohne style blends. Its only after they get a chance to taste it then they are hooked.
Cheers,
Etienne
I use a blend of American and French oak on my Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre lots. I age the wine in barrel for 11 months in our winery in Buellton, CA.

Good Morning Etienne. How’s the weather up there in Buelton? Are the vines getting some much needed rain?
Which vineyards specifically did the fruit come from for the '07 Trio?
Thanks for the replies! Do you think I could lay this down for 3 years? Would 5 be pushing it? It seems like an age-worthy wine but I don’t want to push the envelope too far.
Also, I am assuming that there is a fair bit of oak present in the current flavor profile, will the oak become more or less pronounced with age?
In the meantime, I’m in for one! Thanks again for your participation.
“Last wooter to woot: chipgreen”
Just noticed that this is the second “all-in” offer in a row, shipping to 35 states. Nice
Maybe I have this backwards, perhaps I should be shopping for the girl to go with the wine, good wines being hard to find. What sort of girlfriend would go well with this wine? Please give your rationale.
This brings a whole new meaning to ‘suggested pairings’.
Finally! We got our much needed rain here in Santa Barbara. My cover crop that we put in between the rows to restore nitrogen was getting a little stressed due to lack of rain. The region is going to strat looking much greener now.
The vineyards are the Pardaise Road vineyard for the Syrah and Alta Mesa vineyard for the Grenache and Mourvedre. Alta Mesa is located in the northern end of the county by Cuyama FYI.

Etienne
I dont like to make claims on how long the wine will age since my wines are living wines and not filtered to death. They will change over time depending how your cellars is. Cooler and humid cellars will allow for longer aging than that little spot above your fridge. I usually buy a case when I like a wine from a reputable producer. This will allow me to open a bottle or two over time. As I open the wine I make notes and refer to them as I open more bottles in the future. If I feel that the limit of the wines is reaching shortly, I drink the rest of the wines with good friends or family.
Cheers,
Etienne
That sounds like a good system and I really do need to start taking notes. Thanks again, I’m looking forward to tasting this!
+1
She should be full-bodied with a bold personality to complement the Syrah. She should also have soft hair and smell of strawberries to go with the Grenache and be of French/Spanish heritage to pay homage to the Mourvedre.
cough CellarTracker cough
Thanks. Any recommendation on the finish?
lol, yeah I’ve been meaning to do that
You just have to hope for a happy ending!
does wine.woot ever have sparkling wine?
